20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Do you notice how one of the problems was in them allowing “that woman Jezebel” to teach? My friends, one of the grave errors today is women usurping the authority of the men in the church and trying to be teachers and leaders of men (1 Corinthians 14:34-35; 1 Timothy 2:11-14). Godly women do not need to be self-called and self-ordained to positions the Lord said are for men. Godly women have “a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price” (1 Peter 3:4).
12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
